Like many people, I have been in shock over the terrorist attacks in Mumbai by well-prepared murderers. Young people my own age, filled with bloodthirsty rage. From the photos, they don't look like goat herders from Peshawar. They look like college students - like my friends.
They are murderers. They are not "freedom fighters" or "jihadists." They care nothing about freedom or religion. Their religion is hatred and death.
I've been wanting to write about this for days, but I have been speechless as I try to understand what was going on there. We still don't know which particular group of muslim or nationalist fanatics was involved in this massacre of innocent people.
In 1948, my grandfather served in the Jordanian army which attacked Israel. He was a soldier who was doing his duty and to this day he still bears no hatred for Jews. As I read about a young rabbi and his wife who were murdered this past week, I was deeply saddened for this needless loss of life - these beautiful, God loving, helpless people were killed for no good reason.
I know I should not feel shame, but I do. I am no longer a muslim. I am not Pakistani. Nonetheless I can't help but feel that I have not done enough to convince family members and friends who are muslim that Jews are not our enemies - the jihadists are.
When people tell me that America was attacked on 9/11 because of our support of Israel, I have to wonder about this attack. Did India support Israel? No, the disputed region of Kashmir is the excuse for this bloodshed. People are killing innocent people over a filthy piece of worthless land. Muslims are killing people all over the world in the name of religion, but the real motive is conquest of land and resources.

I need to study for my midterm exams and focus on my R.O.T.C. training. In a few years I will be at war with these murderers and I wish to be ready.
God accept these innocent people into heaven and forgive these young men who know not what they are doing.

Shiver me timbers!
Somali "islamists" who have been cooperating to impose a sharia law government in that nation have vowed to attack pirates who have taken over a Saudi oil tanker. In islam, it is a capital offense to engage in piracy.
islam proscribes the eating of pork, which was often infected with the trichinella parasite. Trichinella has been largely eliminated by modern food preparation technology. This former muslim was achin' for some bacon this a.m.!
islam bans the consumption of strong drinks made from grapes, wheat, barley, honey, or corn. But the all-knowing, all-powerful allah apparently forgot to mention alcohol made from rice and sugar cane. Alcohol had not always been banned in islamic law but was gradually prohibitted over time in the hadith. islamic "heaven" has "rivers of the finest wine" - non-alcoholic, of course, because we wouldn't want a bunch of drunken martyrs having illicit sex with those 72 virgins. Shortly before September 11, 2001, several aspiring muslim murderers got sloppy drunk in a strip club. I'm still searching the qur'an for the "I'm flying an airplane into a building next week" exception to the sex and alcohol rule. This former muslim never passes up the free beer at the Genentech Ho Ho's!

islam prohibits interest on loans. Well sign me up for a few million dollars! I'll pay you back in a few years after the stock market and housing prices are back up. With inflation, the dollars I re-pay you with will be worth less than the dollars you loaned me.

Anyone who has ever read the qur'an or hadith knows they were just making it up as they went along, so why would a contemporary islamic "scholar" be any different?

Mohammed the Pedophile
My first awakening about islam came when I heard the story of Aa'isha, the wife of the prophet (pig shit be upon him).
Aa'isha was either married of engaged to Mohammed (may he burn in Hell) when she was only 6 years old and he consummated their "marriage" when she was only 9 years old.
This is what is recorded in their holy writings. I am not making this up.
Some muslim revisionists have disputed the age of Aa'isha, saying she was past puberty. But the Qur'an and hadith (oral tradition) is pretty clear on this point. Aa'isha, in her own words, said that she was still playing with dolls when she met the Apostle (slap him with my shoe).
"I used to play with the dolls in the presence of the Prophet, and my girl friends also used to play with me. When Allah's Apostle used to enter they used to hide themselves, but the Prophet would call them to join and play with me." (Fath-al-Bari page 143, Vol.13)
In muslim society, it is forbidden for girls to play with dolls after puberty because they are like idols (suwar). But young girls may play with dolls as toys.
I understand that in ancient society children reached maturity at the age of 13. With a shorter lifespan there is nothing wrong with procreating so young. I understand in certain societies, marriages are arranged at birth. I can respect this custom because marriage for love is no more empirically stable than arranged marriages as a social contract.
No society, as far as I know, condones sex with children as young as 6 or 9. Even if this story is not true, then why would someone write such a thing in their religion's oral traditions? Why would such a society not just "lose" that scroll on the side of the road if it was embarrassing. The only thing more frightening than a pedophillic religious icon is a religion which glorifies it.
The tradition seems to continue. I watched a very disturbing film called "Osama" about a young girl in Afghanistan. I know this is a work of fiction but I'm certain it is based on reality. In a world of "honor killings" and "hijab" and "burkas" and "female circumcision", I believe any atrocity is possible and likely.

Support for Israel is why they murder?
Osama bin Laden cited America's support for Israel and defiling of the Cradle of Islam as the reason and justification for the attacks on 9/11.
While this excuse may play well in Pakistan, Riyadh, and Gaza, the actions of these self-proclaimed jihadis reveal that they murder people for the usual reasons: power, money, and hatred.
Spain was not a supporter of Israel, yet jihadis bombed their trains.
India did not support Israel, yet the extremists bombed their trains.
Russia does not support Israel, but muslim separatists killed hundreds of people in Beslan and Moscow.
They are killing fellow muslims in bombings and shootings in Iraq, Indonesia, Pakistan, Egypt, Lebanon, and Afghanistan.
The Palestinians (a name adopted from a defunct tribe who once lived in the region) are killing each other for power and money. If peace and freedom were their goals, they would have already had a Palestinian state. They chose not to have a state because then they would be responsible for the consequences of terrorism.
In this blog, I will no doubt infuriate moderate muslims who don't deserve insult. To them, I offer my humble apologies, but I cannot stand silent nor fear fatwa. I have read the Qur'an and see no truth in it. While the stories of other religions are filled with incredible metaphors and miracles, the Qur'an reads like a poorly written comic book for uneducated people.
Case in point, the title of this blog: the prophet Muhammed (pig shit be upon him) is said to have ridden from Mecca to Jerusalem (it is believed) and back again upon the back of Buraq, a magical white flying pony. Buraq's stride stretched from one horizon to the next. A seemingly intelligent creature, it trembled at the sight of the prophet (pig shit be upon him). If God exists, he is doubtless powerful. But an all-poweful God sending a magic flying pony to carry his most beloved prophet (pig shit be upon him) when he could have just transported him there instantaneously, is more than I can believe.
Jesus (Isa) healed the sick, raised the dead, and was resurrected after his death. Moses parted the waters of the Red Sea. These may truly be miracles from God (of whom I have no personal knowledge) or they may be metaphors. I don't know. I have my doubts.
Islam demands humility before Allah, but harbors arrogance and contempt for all kafirs (non-believers). I am no expert on my own former religion, so I embark upon this exercise to lend my voice in protest and learn more in the process. I would tolerate this religion's existence if it tolerated my existence and the existence of other religions and treated people with respect.
Is Islam any worse than the Roman Empire, the Spanish Inquisition, the Buddhist conquest of Japan, or the Mormon massacre at Mountain Meadow? Probably not. But the difference is that all those other religions rejected violence a very long time ago. Islam, the religion of my birth but not of my heart, is still mired in the Middle Ages fighting wars of conquest, oppressing women, and murdering innocent people in the name of Allah.
Their god is not great. Their prophet (pig shit be upon him), was a child rapist and a con man who created a religion based on lies and hatred.
America now has a new president with ambiguous policies toward Israel and the Middle East. He will clearly adopt a less aggressive strategy than the previous leader. How will the jihadis regard him?
Barack Obama, like me, is an apostate who was born a muslim and is now a Christian - the greatest crime of Islam. Obama has also appointed, in his first act as president-elect, a raving Zionist and Israeli soldier as his chief of staff: Rahm Emmanuel.
In Obama's ranks are millions of people who oppose Israel's aggression against the Palestinians. They opposed the wars against Saddam Hussein and, yes, even against the Taliban (though they won't admit it). Those supporters proudly waved Palestinian flags in their "peace" rallies.
What will they make of this new president? Will we see another 9/11 as bin Laden has promised to test this young, new leader?
America may be vulnerable to attack, but the Japanese and Germans learned that one should never awaken the sleeping giant of America. Even in the depths of the Great Depression, America had a lust for war and an uncanny ability to wage it successfully. Americans surrender easily when fighting for the sake of other people in an uncertain cause, but they are ruthless and determined when avenging their own blood. The guilty terrorists and innocent bystanders in the muslim world should tremble at their approach. Once America's sword has been drawn, it is returned to its scabbard only after it has been bathed in blood. Excessive pride and false faith in Allah does not stop 30mm depleted uranium rounds.
I'm tired of war. I'm tired of seeing millions die in the Middle East and Africa not because of some perceived American imperialism, but because of muslim hatred, cruelty, and violence.
It's time to bring peace to the "Religion of Peace".
